Dr. Selvakumar Ramachandran - Founder & Director
Dr. Selvakumar Ramachandran (Selva) is a software Engineer with PhD in information science, specialized in Identity Management. He has over 15 years of software development experience in various geographies including India, Sweden, Italy and the UK. He has published research papers on identity management, privacy and security. An astute Engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset, he has been supporting start-ups at the preparatory phase with an objective to start his own which led to the inception of Kerckhoffs Limited in January 2017, ably supported by his team.
Dr. Ramachandran's industry experience and academic research expertise is well backed up by him being awarded as a Google scholar in the year 2012 in the field of Computer Science. A popular blogger amongst the world’s Tamil community showcasing and articulating his social concerns combined with his strong technical proficiency, his thirst to implement IT at the right platform and with continual efforts, provides shape to Kerckhoffs’ development.
Vijayalakshmi Subramani - Director
Vijayalakshmi Subramani (VJ) manages day-to-day business and marketing. VJ's 10+ years of management experience in industrial catering and her academic qualifications (MSc - Environment, Health and Safety) provide the capability to identify key problems in the products that are being developed by Kerckhoffs Ltd. VJ is a key member in the team translating the opportunities to application requirements. VJ was the winner of "Student of the year 2019" at University of Sunderland during her MSc studies.
Ivor Ambrose - Advisory Board Member
Ivor Ambrose has a driving ambition to make tourism accessible for everyone, everywhere. He co-founded the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT), a non-profit organisation, registered in Brussels in 2008. As ENAT’s Managing Director he has helped to make it the premier membership association for organisations, business and individuals who support and want to learn more about this area of tourism development. Ivor provides consultancy, policy advice and project management support to national and regional Destination Management Organisations, tourism operators and public bodies in Europe and overseas. Born in England, Ivor has lived and worked in the UK, Denmark, Belgium and Greece. He holds a Masters degree in Environmental Psychology from the University of Surrey, UK and a Ph.D./University Lecturer qualification from the Danish Building Research Institute. He is an internationally recognised specialist in accessible tourism, accessibility of the built environment, inclusion of people with disabilities and older people, user experience, Universal Design and ICTs.
Shaun Allan (XR Expert - Digital Leaders northeast champion 2019) - Advisory Board Member
Shaun Allan is an independent XR consultant. Shaun has been a digital creative for over 35 years and has 11 years experience in the VR industry he founded Vector76 in 2008 one of the UK's very first 100% virtual reality companies. He was a founding member of the VRTGO Lab VR incubator space in Gateshead and consulted on the design Proto Europe's first purpose built emerging technology centre.
In addition to enterprise clients across all sectors his public projects include Rocket reimagined, an immersive journey on Stephenson's Rocket for the Great Exhibition of the North at Discovery Museum Newcastle. More recently he collaborated with Gateshead Council to bring the BA 2119 Future of Flight immersive experience to Proto in Gateshead due to open to the public mid October.
